My name is Emily, and I'm a portrait photographer just living her dream. I am a mommy to two beautiful little girls, and a wife to my husband of 14 years!
I've always been interested in taking photos, even when I was younger, just getting dressed up especially with my cousin or friends and doing photo shoots. The passion really developed when I got involved in putting together the yearbook for my school. My advisor always encouraged me to follow my dreams and I still thank her to this day for it!
After high school, I attended MACC and during this time, took the leap to start this business. When coming up with the name, all I wanted with it was to be a light for the Lord. I want even the name to be glorifying to Him. Infinite Joy was then born. I never, ever thought in my lifetime that I would be able to live my dream and do this full time and be successful. I cannot thank the Lord enough for blessing me. With no formal training, I am completely self taught. I soak up everything I can and am constantly learning and teaching myself new things.
I am known for being shy in my personal life. I never did well meeting new people and connecting instantly. This business has truly brought me out of my shell. I LOVE the clients I have and feel like I do connect with them instantly which is key in having a wonderful, open photo shoot! I am also the most impatient person you'd ever meet (just ask my husband--watch out when this woman gets hangry!). When it comes to doing photo shoots I've been called the most patient person, and it's true. I will do whatever it takes to connect with a child to get the shot, or however much posing or cuddling it takes with a newborn to get that perfect photo. Being a photographer has truly brought me out of my shell!
A few fun facts about me: The way to my heart is a good latte, or discovering hole in the wall coffee shops! I live off of coffee. I love food, especially Mexican food and cheesecake. I hate traveling but want to see the world. Give me an overcast day anytime. Leggings/yoga pants are life, and working out is my therapy. Writing is a true passion of mine. My hair is 99.9% always in a messy bun, and MOST importantly, I love Jesus with my whole heart.
I look forward to meeting you and forming a relationship with you!
